Meet Dr. Stephanie
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my practice in Charleston, South Carolina. Seeking support for mental health is a courageous step. Whether you have been in treatment before or are taking this step for the first time, I am honored to be part of your journey.
I am a board-certified psychiatrist in Charleston, SC, with specialized training in children, adolescents, and young adults, and I care for clients across all ages. I offer both in-person sessions at my Magnolia Road office in West Ashley and telepsychiatry throughout South Carolina for your convenience. While I do not participate with insurance plans, I am currently accepting new clients. I was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, attended UMass on a tennis scholarship, and earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology. I earned my medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed my adult psychiatry residency at Indiana University, and my fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) here in Charleston. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to the needs and goals of each individual and family. I provide care for a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, bipolar disorder, mood and psychotic disorders, and substance-use challenges. My goal is to create a supportive, respectful, and safe space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered as you work toward improved mental health and well-being. A parent recently shared: “I’m so grateful our paths crossed. Most of all, I’m thankful you believed in my daughter. Thank you for being a part of this journey.” Outside of work, I enjoy salsa dancing, Broadway shows, and spending time with my dog, Roo.
